You may have seen earlier this week that the Treasury’s pre-election economic forecasts show that six years of Labour’s economic mismanagement has taken a toll on New Zealand, with forecasts showing a sustained economic slowdown, high inflation and high interest rates.

Week one of the official campaign complete!
With Parliament now officially dissolved, I've really enjoyed getting out every day on the campaign trail.
With Selwyn being such a large electorate, I'm trying to get around as many towns as possible to ensure I can talk to people from across the district.

That's a wrap on the 53rd Parliament!
Yesterday was the last day of parliament, marking the end of my first term as the MP for Selwyn!
I’ve absolutely loved the past three years and am so privileged to represent the best region in New Zealand. Thank you to those who’ve placed their trust in me, told me their stories, and have been brave enough to ask for my help - it has truly been an honour.

MPI’s biosecurity response to golden clams found severely lacking
MPI has badly let down residents, river users and mana whenua of the Waikato region with its slow, lacklustre response to the golden clam incursion, and a national management plan is needed urgently National’s Biosecurity spokesperson Nicola Grigg says.

Last weekend, the National Party released its list for the upcoming election, and I was privileged to be ranked at number 19.
Over the next 50 days, we will be doing everything we can to share our vision for the country with New Zealanders, including our plans to fix the economy and get New Zealand back on track. As always, if you're keen to lend a hand to share our message - whether that be by hosting a sign on your fence, waving some signs, or delivering fliers - please flick an email to [email protected].

We’ve just come to the end of a recess week, with the final sitting block of this Parliamentary term starting next week. With only nine sitting days left of the 53rd Parliament, Labour will be using its majority to ram through as much legislation as it can – including the “Affordable Water Reforms” (AKA Three Water) and the disastrous new RMA.

Last week I hosted a public meeting in Rolleston with National Party Leader Christopher Luxon.
It was great to see such a huge crowd turn out - and enthusiasm towards National's plans to get New Zealand back on track - it's very clear there's a huge appetite out there to change the Government.

I hope you are well as we head into the long weekend.
Parliament's back in action next week, and I've used the break to get around the electorate as much as I can. This week, I've held four coffee meetings, my campaign launch, and last night pub politics at the new Thirsty Acres in Kirwee. I've also been around knocking on doors and delivering hundreds of fliers. With only 80 days until voting opens, it's certainly getting busy!
